Message Lately I've been getting ready to transition back into the civilian life.
With the out-processing, looking for a house back in Maine, and trying to
find a job back home, along with planning the move and thinking about
the possible horrible outcomes that could happen during the trip from
Montana to Maine hauling my Z on a U-Haul trailer on icy winter
highways, you could say there has been a lot on my mind lately. So
much in fact that it's quite easy to forget things.
Now my Z has been under construction since July of '07 with my
engine build and what not. The engine has been removed along with the transmission, wiring harness, battery, ECU etc during this whole time.
Things take a while when plans change, mods lists grow, and the rate of
extra funds didn't come in quite as rapidly as you had hoped :) .
Anyway, I'm just doing normal things around the house today and
then it suddenly dawned on me( for reasons I don't know), that this
whole time that my Z was in the garage, I had both windows rolled down
and I have now way to get them to roll back up! I had them down and
the T-tops off so I could access the inside of the car since there is no
room to open my doors yet I never thought of needing to roll them back
up a year and a half ago since the "original" plan was to have it running
by now. I'm sure most of you have had a D'oh! moment every now and
then. I'm just hoping I can find a way to get these windows to roll up, or
else I am going to have to work really hard at wrapping the crap out of
my car for long tow to Maine in February. D'oh!
